SUSPENDED GROUND FLOOR

The ground floor consists of precast concrete floor slabs which rest on RS channels bolted to the stub columns in the basement. Certain precast units have knock-out panels to enable drain socket outlet pipes etc. to be located.

The ground floor components are placed in position following the installation of main service and drainage runs.

Note: In certain instances, service and drainage pipe runs may be suspended from the soffit of the floor slab. Where this is so, the suspended ground floor will be installed at a much earlier stage, following shortly by the completion of the structural frame.
