- The outer skin of wall units, column and beam covers is formed in
Stelvetite' Plastic coated steel sheet manufactured by John Summers
and Sons Ltd.
- The facing of the material confirms to Class 1.B.S.476 spread of
flame classification.
- 'Stelvetite' 10 standard outdoor colours to B.S.2660 including black
and white. Variations of texture can be obtained through the use of
rigidised 'Stelvetite' metal sheet.
- Light fastness is within text Ref. No. 7, B.S.2782, Part 5.
- Aluminium windows.
- Spandrel, frames and solid units are foamed with rigid polyerethane
foam of 2.3 - 2.5 lbs per ft/3 density (38 kg/m3 - 40 kg/m3), giving
U-value of 0.114 Btu/ft2h deg F (0.64 W/m2 deg C).
- Inner lining is formed of two thicknesses of 3/8 in (9.5 mm) Gyproc
wallboard, bonded together to the overall thickness of ¾in (19
mm). The bonding agent acts at the same time as vapour barrier.
- The fire rating of the cladding system is based on ½ hr,
1 hr, and 2 hrs fire resistance - with suitable variations to the backing
skin providing the required fire rating to suit the site and building
regulations.
- Built-in provision for radiator fixings.
- Design allowance for direct and double glazing.
- Maintenance free finish
