PVC peeling in panel areas over 1m2


Example

 

a) PVC can be stripped from panel completely.

b) Alternative if PVC cannot be stripped completely from panel

  • Thoroughly clean the surface of area to be restored using a mild detergent, follow with a thorough rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
  • Apply 1 coat passivation wash to primed areas and any exposed galvanising.
  • After ensuring all surfaces are clean and dry apply overall to passivated surface or firm Plastisol 1 coat of epoxy primer or protective coatings alternative.
  • Apply 1 coat of acrylic finish or protective coatings alternative.

PVC thinned but both intact and with good adhesion to the steel.

  • Thoroughly clean the surface of area to be restored using a mild detergent and follow with a thorough rinse with clean water and allow to dry. After ensuring all surfaces are clean and dry apply overall to passivated surface, 1 coat of acrylic finish, or alternative.
