Component Replacement in New Matching 6M

Interior Components

Sanitaryware assemblies in 6M were generally based on then-current Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs) which were supported by a range of approved manufacturers/suppliers under the Component Data Base system. Sanitaryware was typically mounted on laminated-faced access backpanels, purpose-made to 6M detail drawings, but generally similar to commercially-available backpanel systems such as Armitage Shanks Ltd 'IPS' or similar products.

Equivalent systems are currently available, and despite the demise of the Component Data Base system of centrally-approved manufacturers, HTM design guidance remains appropriate, and is expected shortly to be updated and re-published by NHS Estates.

Doorsets (comprising jointly-supplied leaf and frame assemblies) were similarly based on CDB and HTM standards. Materials were typically laminate-faced leafs with hardwood frames, to standard split-frame profiles with integral architraves, appropriate for installation within the metal stud partitions. Comparable doorsets to HTM standards remain currently available from a range of manufacturers.
