Column casings in Asbestos incorporated sheeting
Asbestos was described for use in encasing steel columns. Described as cement V-sections which were wrapped around columns or beams and screwed together at regular intervals to asbestos packs between the flanges of the column.
The following drawing taken from the Handbook of Building Assembly describes the casing to the columns as fire casings but from the written description and the drawing it is assumed that asbestos sheet was used.

In the following drawing it is noted that 19mm UK Mannite board was used as a casing to columns.
