Early drawings used in the publication of 1964 show reference to asbestos faced board

In the technical description for the panels reference was made to the inner skin being formed of two thicknesses of 9.5mm Gyproc wallboard. With the early speed of development it is likely that the asbestos faced board was superceded before it was used.
In a later publication the same drawing is shown with plasterboard and supports the above comment as shown below.

From the evidence available it has been concluded that asbestos was used for all ceilings and column casings in 2M Oxford Method buildings
