Replacement Parts 2M/3M

Internal Doors

Detailed plans of door frame assemblies are shown in 'A Different Approach to Build Hospitals in 2M and 3M'. The system of assembly allowed the frame to be fitted in a variety of partition thicknesses and allowed a variety of doors to be used.

A one and a half leaf door assembly. To the small leaf a leaver bolt secured the door at top and bottom. The observation panel could be opened and closed from the outside as required.
The frame is full height, floor to ceiling. The overpanel is in composite blockboard or ply.
Door frame and lift off hinges.
The introduction of Bifold doors made it possible for patients within toilets to have the privacy of a locked door but in the event of urgent help being required the door could be opened from the outside.
The frames were the same as for a standard door and could be adjusted to suite any width of partition.
